Following President Donald Trump’s acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention, actor and comedian Jim Gaffigan went on a Twitter tirade with no less than 15 meltdown tweets screeching about how the economy is going to collapse if Trump wins reelection.
Gaffigan, whose comedy special The Pale Tourist recently debuted on Amazon Prime Video, is predicting a total economic apocalypse if Trump wins in November. The nation will be “over,” Gaffigan warns, and “the economy will never come back,” he says.
Calling Trump a “con man” and a “rapist,” Gaffigan’s verbal diarrhea ran the gamut of everything from Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) to the idea of cancel culture to the right’s disgust with so-called “virtue signaling,” also known as the fake virtue constantly blasted by those on the left.
“Look Trumpers I get it,” Gaffigan wrote, utterly failing to use proper punctuation or grammar.
“As a kid I was a cubs fan and I know you stick by your team no matter what but he’s a traitor and a con man who doesn’t care about you. Deep down you know it. I’m sure you enjoy pissing people off but you know Trump is a liar and a criminal.”
In response to those who might say that he is “destroying my career,” Gaffigan’s only response is for people to “wake up.” Trump is no good for America, Gaffigan contends, and everything will fall to pieces if he captures the White House for another four years.
“By the way you can’t be against Cancel Culture and tell people to stay out of politics,” Gaffigan added, responding to those who say that Hollywood elitists like himself should keep their mouths shut when it comes to Trump.
“You know that time you did a job and didn’t get paid? That’s trump and you know it,” Gaffigan added, presumably referring to accusations made by the left back before the 2016 election that Trump failed to pay some of the contractors who worked on his many properties.
Even though Trump has made great strides in helping to fix America’s economy, which had crumbled under Barack Obama as well as under the Bush dynasties before that, Gaffigan is convinced that Trump’s continued presence in the White House will spell economic failure.
“You know he lies. Constantly,” Gaffigan whined in yet another tweet about Trump. “Yet you dont care? What because he insults people that make you and me feel dumb?”
Gaffigan also became triggered at accusations made by Lou Holtz that Joe Biden is a Catholic in name only.
“Compared to who?” Gaffigan wrote, precluding this with, “F*** Lou Holtz.”
“How many abortions did trump pay for?” Gaffigan further speculated. “How many women has he raped? How many times did pull the s*** he did in Ukraine. Wake up. He’s a crook and a con man.”
Responding to those who have said that Gaffigan is just another Hollywood elitist, Gaffigan further tweeted a demand asking people to “stop with this HOLLYWOOD s***.
“I’m not from Hollywood and Hollywood is just a town,” Gaffigan insists. “Please say coastal elites (which Trump, Jared and Ivana are) Maybe people on the east and west coasts have different values from yours but they dont like liars and con men like trump.”
Other claims made by Gaffigan during his Twitter tirade include his belief that Obama was “obviously” not a socialist, and that this was just “lies to scare you and you know it.” Gaffigan also says that Biden “is not radical. Are you serious?”
“Remember everything Trump accuses the Democrats of he’s guilt of,” Gaffigan added. “Dont let the socialist name calling distract you from the fact he is a fascist who has no belief in law.”
