In a brutally honest interview, the pop star says that women not supporting each other led to Hilary Clinton’s loss in the US Presidential Election

MADONNA has confessed she felt “like someone died” after Donald Trump was elected as US president over Hilary Clinton last month.
And according to the pop star, it’s all women’s fault.
The 58-year-old had strongly supported Clinton in the presidential race, even promising to perform sex acts in exchange for votes for the Democratic candidate.
But now, speaking to actress Elizabeth Banks in a candid interview for Billboard, Madonna has blamed women for not supporting Hilary.
With exit polls suggesting that 42 per cent of women voted for Trump, Madonna admitted she felt “betrayed” by women. She added: “Women hate women. That’s what I think it is. Women’s nature is not to support other women. It’s really sad.”
The star went on to explain that she felt women are often jealous of each other and are more worried about protecting their “men and children.”
Since the election, Madonna confessed she’s been unable to get a good night’s sleep and has gotten into “major arguments” with people who voted for Trump.
The singer goes on to add that she likes the plans for women to march in protest the Washington DC the day after Trump’s inauguration on January 20 and that she too plans to “reign on his parade.”
The singer reportedly attacked the president elect during her show in Miami on Friday night – showing pictures of Trump behind her while singing Britney Spears’ Toxic.
Speaking to the magazine ahead of an auction she organised in Miami over the weekend for her charity Raising Malawi, the singer took the opportunity to address the sexism of ageing in the music world – stating that ageism is only an issue when it comes to female performers:
“Age is only brought up with regard to women. It’s connected to sexism, chauvinism and misogyny. When Leonardo [Dicaprio] is 60 years old, no one is going to talk about his relevance.”
Madonna, who was recently voted Billboard magazine’s Woman of the Year for 2016, went on to add that she feels as though she is still relevant to “people who are educated and are not chauvinists or misogynists.”
The singer recently embarked on a lengthy tour, Madonna: Rebel Heart Tour, that included a whopping 82 tour dates across the globe and reportedly earned the idol $170 million.
Madonna is the latest star to join James Corden on his Carpool Karaoke. In a teaser clip released today, the star shows her funny side as she hints at kissing Michael Jackson, twerks and belts out her most famous tunes with the host.
