Smith was the inspiration behind Kerry Washington’s character Olivia Pope on Scandal.  She is the owner of Smith & Company, which is reportedly among the most reputable crisis management firms in the country.

A source told People, “Judy and her firm have a long history of handling issues that have unfortunately garnered too much attention in the public eye, and she knows how to push towards resolutions that are swift and discreet.” This could be exactly what Jolie needs in order to get through this divorce while avoiding the Scandal.

Jolie has put together a strong legal team amid the divorce.  Although the couple has a temporary arrangement now, Jolie’s seeking private negotiations regarding sole custody of her children alongside her lawyer, Laura Wasser. Wasser will represent the actress’ legal interest in court as she attempts to fight for sole custody of her children.

Wasser has worked with other celebrities on their divorces.  They include Johnny Depp, Nick Lachey, Jennifer Garner and Kim Kardashian.

Pitt isn’t leaving anything up to chance either. He has hired family law attorney Lance Spiegel to represent his interests.  According to E! News, he also reportedly has expressed a desire to handle the custody situation privately.
