Rock star Marilyn Manson, who has expressed an affinity for Satan and smoking human bones, can’t stomach either Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump and doesn’t plan to vote this year, he told Rolling Stone in an interview Tuesday.

“I don’t find either candidate to my liking, so I choose to stand out of this one,” Manson said. “And I don’t think that’s a coward’s stance. A lot of people might say that. I just don’t really want to be a part of this piece of history. Last time, I did want to be involved in some piece of history as a voter.”

Manson didn’t express any problem with the candidates’ positions but expressed a general dislike of their personalities. “It just comes down to two things,” he said. “Who has more charisma, and who are they appealing to. And neither one of them appeal to me.”

This will not be the first time the controversial rock star decided to stay home on election day. In 2000, he said he wouldn’t vote because “I don’t believe it’s a legitimate system” and in 2004 he called the election “a bad game.” He did vote for President Obama in both 2008 and 2012, according to Rolling Stone.

Manson is not alone in his dislike of the two candidates. Larger number of voters than usualremain undecided in the election and the two major party candidates are setting new records in polls tracking unfavorability.

So, to paraphrase an old chestnut, as Marilyn Manson goes, so goes the nation.
