Ariana Grande is one of the more vocal pop stars when it comes to social issues and other political movements, but it seems a certain scandal of hers stopped her from being even more influential this election season.

That’s because judging by those leaked DNC emails, Bernie Sanders wasn’t the only target of Debbie Wasserman Schultz & Co… Ari got her fair share of shade as well!

Apparently, Ariana was being considered for a high-profile performance at theWhite House last year when news of her donut-licking incident began making headlines.

Unfortunately for the Greedy singer, jokingly saying “I hate Americans” was a little too controversial for the liberal political party… because she was effectively banned from singing in front of Barack Obama because of it!

According to the leaked emails, DNC Finance Chair Zachary Allen once asked his peers to vet Ariana for the potential performance — however, the then-22-year-old was written off with a simple “Nope, sorry,” due to a brief list of her scandals, including:

“Ariana Butera – video caught her licking other peoples’ donuts while saying she hates America; Republican Congressman used this video and said it was a double standard that liberals were not upset with her like they are with Trump who criticized Mexicans; cursed out a person on Twitter after that person used an offensive word towards her brother.”

We kind of understand banning her because of the whole donut debacle… but she’s not even allowed to defend her own brother without getting judged?!

Someone over at the Democratic National Committee must just be a Harmonizer instead of an Arianator. LOLz!!
